Sweet Flag celebrates 1 year: Competition time!
As mentioned previously, we are running a competition for the next 7 days in celebration of Sweet Flag making it through it’s first year.
Please read the following carefully:
How to enter
There are 2 sets of questions to choose from.
Each set has 2 questions, which have to be answered to be in with a chance of winning the prize associated with that set of questions.
You may only enter once per set of questions. This allows you a chance of winning a maximum of 2 of the 4 overall prizes.
ALL answers must be submitted via the comments section of this post. No emails allowed.
You do not have to enter both question sets to win a prize – 1 entry for 1 prize per person.
A valid email address must be supplied for each entry.
Tom & I will be judging the answers. Our decision is final.
Closing Date
1st July 2008 at 10am GMT.

The EA question you should be able to discover the answer to. The other questions are being judged by Tom & I so there is no wrong or right answer as such but the answers that impress us the most.

heh…. question set #1 implies you already know a lot about Boom Blox. Is it fair to someone who wants to win a copy of Wii Boom Blox to have expert knowledge of the game? I have been reading about Boom Blox, but don’t have it, and have never seen it played. Aside from living in the US and being ineligible, there’s no way I could judge the existing game (never seen it) well enough to come up with expansion pieces…

Tipa I don’t agree.the competition questions have 1 generic easy to find question via google with the 2nd involving a bit of thought. All someone need do is use wiki to discover the other blox in the game and watch a few youtube videos of gameplay. If I were to pander to the lowest denominator then it wouldn’t be a competition but more a google search farce.

Well, it’s your contest, but I would have asked a question less dependent on knowledge of a game never played (quick, for a chess set, and given you have never played chess before, solve this interesting end-game position in three moves). Maybe something like, name three ways life would be different if the real world were made from Boom Blox.

Blox are the main game mechanic in the game. For someone to come up with a new type would not need indepth knowledge at all.
Example: a blox that chips slowly away rather than falls down when hit.
That is all the question demands as a possible answer. I think the question in the other set is harder to judge but you can see there’s answers to that already.
Boom Blox had bad sales compared with expectation so I feared there may not be many interested in winning that game but like I said these games donated by EA. I had no choice of titles I received.

Question set #1
1. 25th year
2. A blox that gets bigger each time you hit it meaning you had to avoid them rather than go after them

Question set 1:
1. 25th year
2. Never played the game, had to read up on it to have any clue at all so maybe this already exists, but how about a block that changes all the blocks with negative points values to positive, and vice versa?

I don’t own a Wii and all I know about Boomblox was garnered from EA’s promotional video but nevertheless here goes
Boomblox competition:
Q1: 25 Years
Q2: A “Hydra Block” when you hit it it divides into two blocks. The new blocks flash for a limited time and if you hit them while they are flashing they disappear. After a short while however the flashing stops and the new blocks turn into Hydra Blocks themselves. Of course a player who is too slow will end up with an exponentially increasing number of Hydra blocks so some limit is probably required. Perhaps a simple cap on the total number of hydra block will suffice – no new hydra block will be formed if there are more than “n” hydra blocks already on the map.
I am afraid my knowledge of soccer is woefully limited so I will pass on the 2nd comppettion
