Countdown continues…competition time!

[The competition post will go up sometime on Tuesday, 24th June based on GMT.]

5 days to go & Sweet Flag, as I have mentioned on a number of posts recently, will be celebrating it’s first birthday.

To celebrate this milestone, next Tuesday, I will be running a competition to win some great gaming goodies(which have been kindly donated by the good people at EA).

You can take part in the competition from the time the competition post goes up next Tuesday.

Below are the full details. If you would like anything clarified please leave a comment:

So what are the prizes?!

I will be giving away 4 winning prizes with each winner receiving 1 of the following 2 titles from EA:

UEFA Euro 2008 (PS3)

Boom Blox (Wii)

To stipulate, I have 2 copies of UEFA Euro 2008 & 2 copies of Boom Blox to give away as prizes.

1 lucky winner from the 4 will receive, at random, an extra secret prize.

Competition Rules?

Competition open to UK & European residents only.

There will be two sets of questions, 1 for the 2 UEFA prizes & 1 for the 2 Boom Blox prizes.

Each question set will contain 2 questions, 1 based on EA itself & 1 based loosely on the game title it concerns.

1 competition entry per person.

You must specify which question set you are answering from with your entry.

Answers to the questions can only be taken via comments on the competition post, next Tuesday.

You must supply a valid email address when leaving your answers.

The first 2 correct answers, per question set, left (via comment) will be the winners.

Winners will be notified by email.

Finally

So all that is left to say is, good luck to all those who enter the competition next week.

Happy gaming!

I hope those are questions without definite answers. Otherwise, Google is not your friend.

  2. dmosbon Says:

Well that is the thing Aaron, I have to have definite answers to a degree otherwise no on will get questions right. Which means no winners…

1 question is straight forward but the 2nd question in each set may have a twist to it.

  3. Aaron Says:

The contest I hosted a while back had subjective answers. The downside is that judging takes a lot longer and the answers won’t satisfy everyone. The upside is that the contest is search-proof and can reward creativity.

Either type of contest can work, I’m sure, but I’d hate to reward someone just for their search engine skills… unless, perhaps, I was sure they’d learn something in the process.

  4. dmosbon Says:

You do have a point there, Aaron. I think I will incorporate a question that calls on some creativity in the 2 sets.

For that to be fair, I think the judging will have to be done between myself & Tom(the new writer at Sweet Flag).

    Nice pointer there Aaron!

  5. V Says:

Australian’s are always left out. That’s ok we’re doing fine down here.

Congrats on the year – Great site to read.

  6. dmosbon Says:

V had to be careful here as these games could have possible problems running on systems outside the EU.

Thanks for the compliment. Should get even better now that there’s a new writer on board!

  7. Aaron Says:

I always assumed Australia was grouped with European nations in regard to disc formats. Does it use Asian formats?
