Booming May
My PS3/Wii gaming experiences are certainly making for a different experience to that of my past PC gaming ones. I enjoy gaming via console & TV more than I ever thought I would but on the downside, which isn’t that big a deal, my time management of my gaming hasn’t got any easier!
In all this gaming, May saw my second game review go up on Ripten. Iron Man was a poor offering from Sega but since then I have been playing another Sega title, Condemned 2:Bloodshot which is proving to be a much better experience.
Look out for my 3rd review for Ripten, Boom Blox for the Wii, very soon.
Now that I will be getting more games to review coming through in the near future, I will be having to put my own selfish gaming choices to one side a little.
In a funny way this will help Sweet Flag progress in the future. How? Well in my time writing Sweet Flag, reviewing games has not been something I have approached. I may have given my opinions of a game or elements of a game but never a concise review. This hasn’t been a deliberate stance that I have taken & nor will it be the way of things on Sweet Flag in the future.
Sure, the majority of my gaming reviews will be freelance for other gaming sites but some titles I plan to play(yes I still have to have my selfish gaming fix) just won’t be usuable for reviewing freelance. To start this off, both Assassins Creed & Condemned 2:Bloodshot will be getting the SF review treatment sometime in June.
Stats for May

Best day for views was broken in May. The previous best was 802 views, beaten on the 26th May with 961 views. The 1000 views a day for Sweet Flag doesn’t seem that far away & with a record 14310 views in May, 100,000 total views doesn’t look too far from the horizon either.

Thoughts on June
24th…mark your diaries. It’s Sweet Flag’s 1st birthday & although I haven’t decided on what to plan for this date, I maybe able to do a little give away of game related items. We shall see! More on that soon…
June looks to have 2 significant gaming moments. On the 14th the Spore creature editor demo will be avaliable with the 12th being a big date for PS3 owners, as they will be able to get their hands on Metal Gear Solid IV. I hope to get both & will be covering the Spore demo here on Sweet Flag. More details on where I’ll be reviewing MGS IV to come.
Other June delights?
More music freelance work for Caught in the Crossfire should be forthcoming & I’ll be looking to talk a little about football with Euro 2008 beginning. I still have a look back on Liverpools 07/08 season to tie up here on Sweet Flag with a look to next season.
