Sidebar updated & changed
As a fairly under used area of Sweet Flag, I felt the sidebar needed some attention & so I have since removed a few unpopular page links(ie the gaming pages) while adding some new.
I hope this freshness up the sidebar a little, I am pretty happy with this template & don’t see anything else available on WordPress that would do the job any better than the Sapphire theme I use for Sweet Flag.
Here’s how the links on the sidebar were previously displayed:
Some of the changes from the above, are purely cosmetic, like underlining the headings. Others are new pages added, or to be added, reflecting the changes at Sweet Flag. Under the Blog related header you will now see a link to the Review ratings at Sweet Flag. This coincides with making my first music CD review, that of the Blood Red Shoes debut.
I will be looking to review more here at Sweet Flag, be it music, film or game related material & am happy to receive submissions for review. If you have something you want me to review here at Sweet Flag, please feel free to contact me.
I am still working on the Music related section of Sweet Flag & so you will see that I have yet to add anything under the new Music header in the sidebar. I’m sure to add a link to the music reviews made, look for a review of Torche’s Meanderthal soon, & possibly interviews.
OK that’s it for now, is there anything that you feel I should add to the sidebar that I haven’t added yet?

I think once you get the links to the categories of the gaming platforms and games, you’ll be all set.
I got my first request from an author for a book review this week. The book is on the way. Any tips would be much appreciated.

Jesse, I hadn’t planned to link out the games & gaming platforms from the sidebar as over time I will be changing them often. I had considered a games page that tied in the category on 1 page where I could have gaming news linked in too…
What I have found is that the majority of readers don’t use the sidebar links, which could be a failing of the Sapphire theme or a failing of mine in how I have presented them in the past…hmm.
A word of advice on the book review, make sure it’s on a topic you have some interest in otherwise it will be hell to review!

It’s a business book on entrepreneurship. I think I’ll enjoy it.
