My choice to get not 1 but 2 next gen. consoles this month, looks to have had a little reflection in Potshot’s life.
Yes indeed he decided on a PS3 for non game related pursuits, but like me he’s decided that it’s a good time to get the blu ray based console, now that this format has come out on top. If Potshot thinks that he’ll be able to resist the lure of games for this console, I’ll be very surprised & surely it would be a little wasteful too?!
With all the negative mainstream press baying for a cull in graphically violent computer games, mbp found a small but noteworthy article referring to a research paper that indicated that playing computer games can make you less violent. The mainstream media always likes to paint gaming; at best as a negative & sedentary(We all know differently though don’t we!?) activity & at worst, an evil medium that is corrupting the youth. Remember headlines will sell you anything, even speculation as worthwhile news.
While Cuppycake has headed back to playing WoW, I have again retreated away from my MMORPG playing. Something doesn’t sit right with me playing WoW just now, even if Tipa has tempted me to try a new MMORPG. For just a few minutes I did contemplate signing up for EvE Online or even the free play areas to Anarchy Online but my past experiences with MMORPGs came flooding back & I thought better of it. Nice try Tipa!
On a final note, I’d just like to wish Sean good luck with hosting his own blog. I think he knows it’ll be more work but ultimately the benefits will be greater.

Ha! I have just begun my assault. I have some MMOs you have never HEARD of that I will be writing about soon. The current MMO choices are really a false choice, since they are more or less all functionally identical. But there are others.
