9 days to Play.com LIVE
Time is flying past & Play.com LIVE is getting that much closer.
Confirmation has just got to me that I am allowed a small camera & small recording device inside Wembley because of my press pass. It does mean I have to buy a new Dictaphone as the old one I thought I had stored away looks to have been thrown out. So instead of a mono tape recording at least now I’ll have a digital recording that I can hook straight into the PC!
Play.com have now placed a link page listing the lineups for both music & gaming at Play.com LIVE. The list of games at the event so far are listed below. I have highlighted the games I feel will be the ones to make a bee-line for:
Lego Indiana Jones

GTA IV looks to be absent from the list which I have had confirmed by Richard Chapple, who works for Play.com:
“As for GTA IV - they will not be showing anything at PLAY.COM Live. Although , PLAY.COM will have exciting news about GTA IV, which we hope to announce at the Show.”
I am waiting to hear back if EA are bringing anything on SPORE. I really hope they show this as it’s a long wait until September!
No SPORE at Play.com LIVE…that’s a real shame…damn EA! Thanks Richard:
“They’re(EA) focusing heavily on Fifa Street and Rockband (can’t wait to play this). So no SPORE at the moment. We’re also trying to accommodate the EA Hub (large truck) outside the venue something which will have more code on board!”

Shame Play.com LIVE over egged their list of games to try and attract visitors by claiming that Street Fighter IV would be on display.
We spoke to Capcom and they claimed that they never said the game was going to be there and are not happy with the hoards of angry players that have found out the game is not there!
This is not helped by rumors that Capcom Europe has a test arcade cabinet in the UK for magazine reviews!

Ghostbusters was there but was a real let down to see such a small demo being presented with no new information forthcoming from the stand. Lets not mention the fact that the PS3s that were running the demo for that & Prototype kept crashing all day on Saturday!
