Warlock Craft - Timor
Warlock /refreshed.
The transfer of Liber from Runetotem to Teneras server went without any hiccups but I did have to change the character name to Timor.
After dusting down Timor I felt it a good idea to grease the joints & take a run or 2 through The Deadmines. This would suit two purposes…firstly it would let me find my touch again with the Warlock class without the worry of being killed if I made an error in combat & secondly I could pick up some of the Blackened Defias Armour for Lestra.
I did manage to get the Blackened Defia Belt that was dropped by Captain Greenskin on my first run through of The Deadmines with Timor but nothing else dropped. Even on the second run through where I begun to find my Warlock touch again, nothing from the set dropped.
After checking the AH I paid for 3 of the items from the set(boots, gloves & leggings) but have been unable to find a sale listing for the armour. WoWhead claims that Edwin VanCleef has a drop rate for this on average is only 16%. With Lestra at level 17, I may hold out until a DM run with her & see what EV drops then as the item requires level 19 where all the other parts are either level 13 or 17.
It was good to see The Deadmines again & it gave me a chance to take in all the nice touches the instance has. I also know that a 5 man party running through it will need to be mindful of the wandering mob patrols. With it maybe requiring a player sitting at the back of the party ready to alert the others of any patrols. So with the pitfalls noted I hope to ready when Lestra enters the instance for the first time.
To end this post I have listed 5 things that reminded me what is great about the Warlock class, since going back to it(in no particular order):
- Felguard - Oh I love his intercept & the way he holds aggro. Puts old bluey in the shade every time.
- Fear - The Latin for fear is…Timor. When you think Warlock you should automatically think of a dark & fearful character…reminds me must get some better armour sets & get rid of all the orange/yellow coloured armour pieces!
- Soul Shards - without them a Warlock is only half the threat. Drain your enemy!
- Dreadsteed - The best horse mount model in the game? Second reminder…must finish this quest!
- Fel Armor - At level 62 Timor gets to try this on for size. A very different armor type compared with Demon Armor.
