Zeroes

Parodies seem to be making the rounds just recently with The Guild 5 episodes in & a Christmas carol to boot(spoofing a guild in a MMORPG). No we have Zeroes is 4 episodes in spoofing…yes you got it, Heroes.

I have highlighted episode 1 here in this post but you can find the other episodes at Zath Games Tech.

Do you have an ability that could make you a ‘Zero’?!

Thanks to Cat for bringing this to my attention!

It is a great spoof and I’m almost thinking it’s better than the actual series, although I’m not too sure at the moment. Heroes never really ‘did’ it for me.

  2. Jules and I are already getting kind of tired of season one, but we’ll stick with it. I can’t figure out why Hiro doesn’t just go back in time and kill Sylar before he has any powers!

    The spoof was magnificent though.

Am surprised that you feel the way you do about Heroes although I did find the scene where Sylar is eventually stopped, if all but in a temporary fashion, a bit of a let down.

I think the story shows that Hiro has struggled with the idea of having to ‘kill’ Sylar right up to the point of being trained by his father & so going back in time to stop him before he gains his powers is fine but then Hiro knows very little about who the real Sylar is or where he comes from etc.

I think that Heroes Volume 1 if anything went on too long and almost lost it’s way a little to the point the actual showdown was disappointing. Here’s hoping that the shorter volumes from now on keep the story moving along and avoid future let downs.

    Thanks for the shout-out!

Sure thing Zath…I believe there’s two volumes to Season 2? The showdown concluding season 1 seemed slightly flat & lacked some melodrama.

Surely no one thought Sylar would die?!

  6. Zath Says:

There was originally going to be 2 volumes to season 2, however due to the writer’s strike, the 11th episode of season 2 which concluded volume 2 may also be the final episode of a shortened season 2.

Sylar? Yeah it’s never a good sign when a hero doesn’t properly check to see that a bad guy is dead!

  7. dmosbon Says:

Zath that does strike me as a little bit of flaw with the writing of that episode. After Sylar is brought down the writing just seems to go to sleep.

Is that a definite, Zath? Only 11 episodes in season 2? Surely they will carry on the season after the strike is over?

  8. Cat Says:

Yeah, apparently it’s only 11 for the season. That’s what Wikipedia says and they’re normally quite quick on it..

The thing is they won’t know when the strike is up. The last WGA strike 10 or so years ago lasted 22 weeks..
