Crafting the Tabula way
Still trying to fathom out crafting in Tabula Rasa. One nice quest reward item Liber did receive was the Dynamo Salvage Tool. This tool allows a player to harvest parts from destroyed robotic mobs. These parts in turn can be used in crafting, just make sure the mob is fully deactivated…they do tend to have a number of surprises for the unwary.
Stratics have just posted a crafting guide for Tabula Rasa which I shall be reading over in the next day or two & hope the applied knowledge will bring some good results.
How have you got on with crafting in TR?
Worth the time or are you too busy blasting the Bane?

Thanks for the link on the crafting guide DM, I’ve been experimenting a little but want to be sure I understand it. Some of the parts that are really hanging me up are the [#]’s on each weapon or armor that goes 1-4. Hopefully this guide will help because I am getting so many mixed responses from the general chat.

Hey Brackish’!
Yeah it looks like crafting is aimed totally at items that will be useful on the battlefield & no fluff. The salvage tool has been handy so far but methinks the downed robotics know I’m after their parts as they reanimate as I get close more often than not now…lol.

I haven’t really looked at the crafting much yet myself. I’ve made some dyes but that’s about it.
A tip with the reanimated robotic Foreans (and humans) they are controlled by a chip. If you kill one, you need to run over it (or press T) and collect the machima (sp?) chip. I’ve found that keeps them down for good.

McStropp!
I still can’t added you as a friend does this mean you have to be online to be added? In game there was no takers on add friend being bugged. Have you worked this out yet?
That’s right about the chip…I remember now they are collectable for a quest. I like the option to either press ‘T’ or walk over the fallen mob to pick up. The range to use ‘T’ is still near to the mob but normally I have run over them before I know it.

Yeah. I tend to dance on their corpses rather than get near and press T. And it’s not because I’m a sicko either. I just find it easier.
I haven’t found a solution yet to the add friend problem. I tried adding your full name but it wouldn’t accept spaces. It’s surnames only by the looks.

Yea, surname and the person needs to be online as well…
Also, I hope they fix the search feature so that you can search by Clan as well.

Thanks Brackish’
Am a little concerned that TR is lacking some of the ’standard’ social tools that other MMORPGs have built in from the off ie Auction House & In Game Mail. Am happy if these are to be introduced in a specific & maybe different way than other games but is kinda strange.
