What a night to come up with the goals against a woeful Besiktas team, Liverpool played the ball around the park with ease & Yossi Benayoun was a revelation on the right. Pennant will have a big fight on his hands, when he is fit, to get his place back.
I cannot remember a tackle being made against any Liverpool player all night. One of the commentators on ITV summed up the Besiktas team as, ‘anaemic’ & ‘the politest team to have played at Anfield’.
Shame I had only gone with a 2-1 score line in my prediction league & it cost me with a -6 goal difference in just one game. With a -29 goal difference I am struggling to hold my place in the top ten and really need to string some results together.

Prediction
Fulham this Saturday & it’s a late, 5.15pm GMT kick off. I original made a 3-0 prediction for this game but as more than 12 members of the league have this scoreline, I have changed it to 3-1. Liverpool in the PL have made it difficult for themselves & I feel a goal will go against them in this game.
3 goals at home seems a good level to balance goal difference. It’s unlikely Liverpool will get close to 8 again and either side of 3 seems plausible & will not cause my goal difference to become even more in the negative.
