Besiktas v Liverpool FC
With the Champions League game for Liverpool tonight being played out in Turkey against the unknown quality of Besiktas, I thought to look back to see when I last posted about Liverpool’s current season…
…it’s been a few months, ahem.
In that time I had the luxury of watching a very poor performance by Liverpool in the Champions League against Marseille. Tonight I am at home & do not have the luxury of watching the game live, nope I don’t pay for the overpriced Sky Sports. Instead it will have to be via good old fashioned radio. I just prey this game becomes the kick up the arse Liverpool needs before the festive season looms.
The win against Everton at the weekend convinced me that Liverpool are struggling to be the balanced team like the Arsenal seem to have mastered. So with Arsenal visiting Anfield this coming weekend, a positive game tonight is surely needed.
I commented in a LFC forum recently that Liverpool need to beat Everton & at least get one win, one draw against Arsenal & Manchester Utd. Most Arsenal fans at work are convinced that their team has the measure of Liverpool but we’ll see.
Prediction
My Prediction for tonight’s game?
1-3 in Liverpool’s favour. My predicting has been a little down of late with the last 3 games I picked both the wrong score & outcome. Here’s the table & my standing in the LFC Reds Prediction League:
