Don’t Play with the voodoo!

I am born again into Azeroth!

8 levels of pure joy with my Orc hunter, Gorze. I can say that the hunter class has been the most fun to level of all the classes I have tried. Why I never tried the Orc race before I just don’t know. So with Gorze I placed him on a different server to my retired main, Liber because I wanted a clean break from everything. The server, the guilds & the players & I wanted Gorze to start out penny-less. I wanted to create the feeling of a game never played before as much as I could & to a big degree I think that I have been successful in creating an initial experience that will keep me in Azeroth beyond the first month.

So upon reaching level 10 I have to consider talents & pets. With Gorze I am going to follow the Beastmaster side of the hunter, Big Red Kitty has a nice post about building this talent tree with your first 40 talent points, here. Pet wise Gorze will plan a progression through the cat family with the Durotar Tiger being the first tame.

Cats are good. One nice trick is they can stealth. Great for guarding resources/flags in AB/WSG. Although standing there big and green won’t get quite the same effect as being shadowmelded off in some corner though.

They’ve also got Dash, which means they’re on the target faster.

And, at around level 20, if I’m not mistaken, there is a ghost cat available in northern Darkshore. Where the Naga are patrolling some ruins, there are these cat figurines lying around. Pick them up, or use them, and you’ll eventually summon a level 20 cat. It’s skin texture starts, and stays, as transparent.

I had the Teldrassil Cat, graduated to the Darkshore Cat, then got a Swamp Jaguar out of the Swamp of Sorrows. He was replaced with King Bangalash from STV. Then I got a Winterspring Saber cub, which I still have.

From what I am hearing about the cat family I have to agree with you, Kinless.

Comparing the hunters’s pet to the warlock summon they are very different. I think the warlock’s connection to a summon should have been done better because I believe the hunter’s connection to his/her pet seems well thought out & a bond does develope between master/pet.
