Siding with the underdog

So after a couple of years of exclusive play on the side of the Alliance in World of Warcraft I have decided to roll a Horde Orc Hunter this coming friday.

So what has swung me away from the all conquering(yeah right) Alliance? Well I want my gaming experience in WoW to be fun but also new to me & the best path is to try the path untouched. Horde also look very fun to play & I am a big fan of the underdog but I still need to decide on a server home for him/her.

The Hunter class? Well Warrior would bore me too quickly & for me there are some nice touches to Hunters that just sit right for what I want from my WoW experience. On the subject of Hunters, there is a great site dealing in all the innards of pets for the class. This is probably well know to the well established Hunters out there but for the newly envisioned here’s the link: Petopia

My next WoW update will be after I step back into Azeroth on Friday…so keep those sights keen!

I did the same thing myself. Before the expansion I had a 60 lock and a 60 druid on the alliance, but decided to roll a tauren hunter to see some of the other zones and compare the communities. Well I got to 43, and I liked the zones, but alliance was better in my opinion and I didn’t really get a chance to check out the community because I got involved with a guild on my alliance characters and that was the end of the tauren, but it was fun while I played him.

Cool man, can’t wait to read about your adventures. I myself my primary horde character is a Troll Shaman, I guess I always like the witchdoctor type characters in Azeroth…that was about as close as I could get…hehe

Welcome to the side of the good guys. not those evil elves who tried to blow up the planet, or humans who stab all their “allies” in the back.

    You know what we say
Once you go horde, you’ll never be bored.
    or
Once you go troll, you’ll never reroll
    etc

If you have any desire to have a fun end-game experience, do not roll a hunter. They are inherently disadvantaged in arena pvp and raiding guilds usually only keep a few hunters on retainer.

If you roll a blood elf, prepare for severe burn out around level 23. The blood elf starting lands are so incredibly perfect for 1-21 leveling that the rough transition to the Barrens/Stonetalon leveling will absolutely suck in comparison.

If you really want to do something different, roll a druid. It is a class that is high demand in both PvE and arenas. With the same character you can respec whenever you want to be a tank/meleedps, healer, or nuker.

@ blackhawk - I have a Belf Shaman at level 21 & agree there is a burn out after the experiences in the starting area.

I’m not too concern with end-game disadvantages of classes as raiding is low down on things to do again in WoW…PvP is something I’ll have to consider, thanks for the advice.
